Monroe Board of Cooperative Educational Services has been operational for more than 50 years. A full-service educational institution, Monroe BOCES serves various public and private schools, area colleges, community agencies and other local partners. The institute functions as an extension of the local school districts and the New York State Education Department. Located in Fairport, N.Y., it serves more than 40,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12. The institute employs more than 1,200 full- and part-time personnel, and services over 15 districts, including Windsor, Chenango Forks, Chenango Valley, Deposit, Harpursville, Johnson City, Maine-Endwell, Newark Valley, Susquehanna Valley, Tioga and Vestal, N.Y. It offers specialized programs in cooperation with IBM, The Kopernik Space Education Center, Waterman Center, United Health Services, Monroe Workforce Development System, Partnership 2000, and Roberson Museum and Science Center. Monroe BOCES comprises several divisions that include educational support and technology, educational programs and career services department and management support services.
