History
The history of Kettle Ridge Farm actually began thousands of years ago when the last glacier retreated from upstate New York leaving behind a rugged landscape marked by deep kettle ponds and steep ridges in what is now Victor NY. Joe Hurley and his wife moved to this area in 2009 and Joe began producing maple syrup and honey. The farm expanded in 2015 with the purchase of its Log Cabin Road property and the addition of Joe's son, Chris, as full-time farm manager. With 70 acres in three locations, along with some friendly neighbors allowing access to their land, Kettle Ridge Farm has plenty of space for beekeeping, maple sugaring, and special events.
Specialties
We produce pure maple syrup and wildflower honey on a beautiful landscape shaped by the glaciers. Our festivals celebrate local foods, local arts and crafts, and local music. Families can even join in with our maple sugaring through the Adopt-a-Maple program. Our maple and honey products are sold at our sugarhouse (call ahead!), online, and at a few specialty stores in the Rochester and Victor areas. We can also cater your event in our pancake food truck. If you wish to visit the farm, the best way is to attend one of our public events -- e.g. KettleFest, Honey Dipper Festival, NYS Maple Weekend -- or join our Adopt-a-Maple program. If you just want to stop in to purchase some of our product, please call ahead to make sure we are around (Chris 585-217-7108). Thanks!
