History
Using a family loan, Donald A. Collins (D.A.) started the D.A. Collins Construction Company in Mechanicville, N.Y., in an office behind his mother's kitchen. Eleven years later, Mr. Collins' company earned the prestigious contract to build a bridge that would formally connect Albany County to Saratoga County in upstate New York. Now universally known as the Twin Bridges, it has become a renowned landmark in the historic landscape of the Capital Region. Growth and new opportunities followed. The acquisition of Pallette Stone Corp., Kubricky Construction Corp., and Jointa Galusha LLC. allowed Collins to formally expand into new markets and to strengthen the quality of his services. In 2002, D.A. Collins Environmental Services LLC. became another member of the D.A. Collins family, formally expanding its expertise into the environmental remediation sector.
