The Board of Cooperative Educational Services Athletics division was formed to relieve Nassau county coaches and teams of the administrative duties involved in playing competitive sports on the secondary school level. 136 schools in 46 districts are united under the board along with thousands of children and 2000 officials.
Along with providing overall evaluation, assignment and bookkeeping, Interscholastic Athletics interprets and supervises general rules and regulations, offering coaches CPR and First Aid training as well as issuing them their temporary licenses.
