The Department of Information Technology was established to meet the Town of Huntington's technology needs and administers, manages and maintains all of its computer and communications hardware and software.
The department helps to analyze, archive, manage and simplify access to information. Additionally, it assists in maintainining the many town computers and their ability to communicate between departments and divisions. Other responsibilities include upkeeping the town's Internet, intranet and network and acting as the "help desk" for its numerous departments and divisions.
