The Holistic Learning Center, established in 2001, is dedicated to improving the lives of children diagnosed with attention deficit disorder/attention deficit hyperactive disorder, behavioral disorders, autism/pervasive developmental disorders and sensory processing disorders. HLC offers a variety of treatments, including applied behavioral analysis, sensory integration, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, listening therapy, bioacoustics, holistic nutritional consultation, socialization groups, craniosacral therapy and reiki sessions. Services for the parents of these children include parent training and coaching, craniosacral therapy, yoga, reiki sessions, holistic nutrition, and hypnotherapy to address weight loss, smoking cessation and anxiety reduction.
Executive Director Susan Varsames supervises occupational therapists, speech pathologists and teacher assistants who work with children and young adults in both school settings and at the Holistic Learning Center.
