HASC Woodmere is a not-for-profit preschool program and evaluation site. It provides an integrated preschool program for children with and
without special needs. Multicultural programs are held with a highly trained staff that provide the latest innovative early childhood techniques. The program's director is Lois Hofflin.
Children ages 3 to 5 years take part in a variety of class sizes, offered in half or full day increments, as well as off-site services. HASC offers children a low student-teacher ratio.
Classes also participate in physical activities, music, class trips and special events. The school's staff includes certified teachers, speech/language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers and a full-time nurse.
HASC also offers early intervention services for newborns to 3-year-olds, SEIT/RS services for ages 3 - 5 in local nursery school or day care programs and a school age program for New York City children ages 5-9.
