History
Hana Ramat, LCSW created her private practice in Psychotherapy to serve individuals in reducing stress, anxiety, depression by increasing well-being, serenity, healthy communication, and feelings of understanding. Her work then expanded to include Holistic Career Coaching to meet the needs of her clients who were unfulfilled in their work. Her work is holistic in that it focuses on work, play, spirituality, health and relationships which must all be balanced in order to experience long term fulfillment. She teaches psychotherapeutic techniques to her coaching clients, when needed, to help them cope with anxiety, depression, negative thinking, low self-esteem, self-defeating beliefs/behaviors in the context of career transition and other big life transitions in order to help them remain focused to achieve their goals.
Specialties
Career Coaching- My coaching clients have often been in traditional therapy before although this is not a requirement. Many have gained valuable insights from therapy but feel frustrated they do not know the next step to take to achieve meaningful, sustainable changes. I have my coaching clients create action-oriented goals while being held accountable to achieve these goals in a limited time frame. I coach clients through major life transitions, including career transition, claiming career fulfillment, living a life of purpose, and finding one's life partner. I incorporate my background in therapy and offer mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques when anxiety and/or depression arise. Often, our worries and doubts hold us back from achieving our full potential and becoming our strongest, wisest self. I support my clients in managing anxiety and depression through the use of concrete tools, so they can focus on achieving the life of their dreams. Mindfulness- Originally a Buddhist practice, is the purposeful focus on the present moment in a nonjudgmental way. Practices include diaphragmatic breathing, meditation, relaxation techniques, visualizations, and imagery. Couples Therapy- I use the Imago method in my work with couples. This technique teaches and reinforces clear, healthy communication between the couple through the use of the Imago Dialogue.
