Gutchess Lumber s dimension mill has the capacity to produce 4-million feet of dimension per year. The company s equipment, including scanning carriages, optimized edger, optimized trimmer sorters and kilns, ensures productivity throughout the lumber manufacturing process. Its width-sorted products help cut down on product waste and saves money. Gutchess dimension plant improves yield through applications such as surfacing, ripping, edge glues panels, molder blanks, architectural moldings and custom moldings. Its hardwood inventory includes white ash, basswood, cherry, hard maple, red maple, tulip poplar, red oak and white oak. Located in Cortland, N.Y., Gutchess Lumber was established in 1904, when George Gutchess built the first mill on his Lapeer, N.Y., farm.
