Greenburgh Hebrew Center, founded in 1947, is an inclusive, fully equalitarian conservative synagogue. It welcomes singles and families (interfaith and non-traditional families). GHC has an Early Childhood Center for toddlers through age five and a Religious School for K - 12.
Rabbi Barry Kenter leads the synagogue, which he describes as hands-on, warm, participatory and vibrant with lots of singing.
The synagogue also has an active Young Families Group, Youth Group (for teens), Men's Club and the empty Nesters Club in addition to various other adult education classes and activities. GHC participates in GATEWAY, which is a program for families that have young children and offers dual membership at the Greenburgh Hebrew Center as well as at the JCC on the Hudson in Tarrytown.
GHC holds religious services every day of the week, which includes morning minyan, Friday evenings (6:30pm) and Saturday mornings (9:30am). Everyone is welcome to join.
