Flying Point is a Southampton Town beach at the south end of Flying Point Road in Water Mill.
Parking permits are required at town beaches between May 15 and June 25 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. only if a beach attendant is on duty. Permits are required at all times between July 1 and Labor Day from 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. regardless of whether an attendant is on duty.
Unless otherwise posted, lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beaches close at 9 p.m.
Residents can obtain a beach barbecue permit for after 6 p.m. from the Parks & Recreation Office.
There are no daily passes at Flying Point. Resident, senior citizen and non-resident seasonal permits are accepted.
Pets are prohibited between April 1 and October 1. Pets are allowed at other times but must be under immediate control of owner at all times and all animal waste must be disposed of it proper containers. Violators will be subject to a fine up to $250.
Camping, alcohol, bonfires, glass containers, household garbage, erecting tents, construction debris, handbills and solicitations, unsupervised children, amplified music, unauthorized concession trucks or caterers graffiti and littering are prohibited at all times.
There is drive-on access, but both a Southampton Town Trustees 4x4 beach driving permit is required. The speed limit if 10 miles per hour and ATVs are prohibited. All vehicle are prohibited from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. between the Friday preceding Memorial Day through September 15.
