The First Presbyterian Church of Southampton is the very first Presbyterian Church in America. The Puritan settlers who started the church came from Lynn, Massachusetts, in 1640 and founded Southampton. The current church building was built in 1843. The church has both a chancel choir and handbell choir. Services are at 10am on Sundays and are open to the public. A junior high school youth group meets Tuesday from 6 to 8pm and a senior high school group meets Sundays from 6 to 8pm. The Reverend Dr. Richard Boyer serves as pastor.
