The Erie County Child Protective Services Division vices is apart of the Department of Social Services of Erie County. The division helps to protect children from physical and sexual abuse and neglect by their parents and caretakers. It provides food, clothing, shelter, education and medical care services to children under the age of 18 and suffering with physical, mental and emotional disorders. The Erie County Child Protective Services Division offers proper supervision and guardianship to children. The division is located in Buffalo, N.Y. Its parent department also provides foster care and adoption services, as well as offers temporary care for children who enter emergency shelters and treatment facilities.
