The Episcopal Church, governed by bishop, provides Christian education and other programs and services through ministries. The church offers various diocesan programs, including licensing classes for chalice bearers, lay eucharistic ministers and administrators, classes in scripture, theology, church history, liturgics, the Anglican ethos and ethics, and education and training of baptized persons. It organizes 11 accredited seminaries that provide theological and spiritual education to clergy, and laity for leadership and service in the world. Through the Ministries with Young People, the church offers various programs for children and youth, such as professional development, spiritual support, Bible study, and policy dialogues and proposals. The Episcopal Church is a member of the Worldwide Anglican Communion, and is located in New York City.
