History
In 1909, Edward and Nellie Stone Low named their company N.S. Low after her. They sold trusses, surgical products and added a shoe department in 1926. In 1968, Paul Schwartz, who owned Apex Foot Health Industries, which sold foot products, orthotics and arch supports, bought the company. Robert S. Schwartz, his son, joined Eneslow in 1973 - and today Robert's son Michael and daughter Rachel are also part of the family business. Shoes and the Schwartz family have a long history that predates Eneslow. Paul Schwartz's great grandfather hand-crafted custom-made shoes in Hungary in the 19th Century, and the family plans on continuing the footwear tradition for the next 100 years. Some things, of course will change, but as Robert Schwartz says - Eneslow
