The Kiwanis Club of the Bellmores serves Bellmore and the Long Island community through Charity Events. It strives to fulfill the Kiwanis vision of changing the world, one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of the Bellmores also supports Adopted Army Unit, the Madonna Heights Ladies Auxiliary, Keep a Child Alive, the Zucker Hillside Hospital, Kamp Kiwanis, local high school sponsorships and summer pool passes for families in need. The Kiwanis Club of the Bellmores hosts several fundraising events throughout the year to support these charities, including: Annual Bellmore Pancake Breakfast - April Nassau County Strawberry Festival, jointly hosted by the Lions & Kiwanis Clubs - June Booth Sponsorship at the Bellmore Family Street Fair - October They meet on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm and the second and fourth Tuesday of every month for a luncheon at Piccolo Restaurant.
