Founded in 1814, the East Meadow Union Free School District is headquartered in Westbury, N.Y. The district is made up of nine schools serving the communities of East Meadow and Westbury in New York, which includes Barnum Woods, Bowling Green, George McVey, Meadow Brook and Pathway elementary schools. It also includes East Meadow High School and Woodland and W. Tresper Clarke middle schools. The district serves more than 8,000 students and offers a wide range of subjects, including art, science, social studies, mathematics, English, physical education, health education and business studies. In addition, it provides adult education classes and special education and pupil personnel services. The district s coordinator of testing, academic intervention and technology oversees New York state testing, district assessments and district-wide academic intervention services.
