The East Harlem Neighborhood Based Alliance Corporation (EHNBAC) is a non-profit organization established in 1993 as part of a State-wide initiative under the New York State Neighborhood Based Alliance (NBA) laws. Their mission is to stabilize volatile situations for families and individuals in crisis, while also improving long-term economic and social conditions through the implementation of a Strategic Neighborhood Action Plan (SNAP).
EHNBAC provides crisis intervention and case management services to all victims of crime in a supportive and respectful manner, aiming to help them navigate through difficult times and access the necessary resources. Over the years, they have successfully placed 2,000 individuals and families in decent and affordable apartments, prevented homelessness for 5,000 families, and assisted 4,600 crime victims.
