Established in 1926, The East Farmingdale Volunteer Fire Company is a public safety agency that works to provide fire protection and prevention services. It operates a meeting hall, recreation room, kitchen facilities and administrative offices. The department is comprised of more than 170 men and women. The East Farmingdale Volunteer Fire Company is responsible for rope and heavy rescue operations and hazardous materials response. Its fire district covers an area of over 10 square miles. Halesite Fire Department

The Halesite Volunteer Fire Department is located in Suffolk County. The department is 100 percent volunteer, consisting of more than 70 members and has proudly served the Halesite and surrounding community since 1901.When fire, disaster or medical emergency strikes, you take it for granted that your call for help will be answered. Kings Park Fire Department

The Kings Park Fire Department dates back to 1913. It serves the entire Kings Park area, as well as Fort Salonga up to Bread and Cheese Hollow Road. The department answered 1,590 calls from January to mid-December 2010.

Lawrence Cedarhurst Fire Department

Since 1882, the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department has been committed to protecting the community. The all-volunteer force of 80 locals responds to nearly 1,000 fire calls a year. The department, which has been in its current headquarters since 1902, is always seeking new members.
