Data-Pop Alliance is a non-profit think-and-do-tank founded in 2013 by the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, MIT Connection Science, and ODI. Their mission is to bring together researchers, practitioners, and activists to create positive social change through data and AI. They work across three pillars: diagnosing local realities using innovative data and technologies, enhancing data literacy through trainings and workshops, and transforming systems and processes to support just and sustainable human-centered transformations.
Data-Pop Alliance focuses on various thematic programs, including Just Digital Transformations, AI and Statistics for the SDGs, Resilient Livelihoods and Ecosystems, Data Feminism, Geographies of Inequalities, and Technology and Democracy. Through their work, they aim to build a world where data and technologies are used to make better collective decisions for citizens, communities, and the planet.
