The David Bowie Walking Tour of New York City is a guided tour through some of the landmarks, locations and locales of David Bowie's time spent here in New York. New York had a large impact on David's life from his first visit here in 1971, to his permanent location as a resident in 1992, all the way through to 2016. The tour begins in the West Village where we establish the early connection between David and New York City; afterwards we head east to the historical district of Greenwich Village where we discuss David's experience and visits here from1971 to1975. In this time frame we talk about New York's influence on David's work from Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane to his 'Young Americans' period. The last phases of the tour take place in SoHo and NoHo, where we learn about David's relawith the city as a New Yorker and the story behind his most recent work of the modern day period.
