History
Our Library System not only supports the 33 local libraries and reading centers in the region, but also provides a direct connection to enhanced library services for the organizations, groups, and individuals of Northeastern New York. We provide leadership and advocacy for libraries, coordinate interlibrary loan and information distribution, provide a shared online catalog, and offer training opportunities to member libraries. By providing resources to the population free of charge on both a regional and state level, we ensure that people have access to information regardless of their circumstances. Our focus on resource sharing, cooperative delivery of goods and services, and collaborative project management, coupled with new information technology, means we can deliver thousands of dollars' worth of resources and materials at a fraction of the cost, bringing the best possible library services at the best possible value to each and every person.
