Chinese Evangel Mission Church (CEMC) is a vibrant and inclusive community located in New York City. Founded in 1944 as The Chinese Evangelistic Center, CEMC started as an outreach ministry to assist Chinese immigrants with personal, legal, and language challenges. Over the years, CEMC has grown into a diverse congregation that embraces the triune nature of God, the redemptive work of Christ, and the guiding presence of the Holy Spirit. With a strong emphasis on the authority of the Bible, CEMC is committed to worship, spreading the Gospel, and fostering harmonious fellowship among its members.
Throughout its history, CEMC has expanded its ministry to include English-speaking congregations, Vacation Bible School, and Junior High Programs. In 1981, the church moved to a newly-constructed building on Madison Street, and in 2015, it dedicated a new facility on Monroe Street to serve as a beacon of light in the neighborhood. With a focus on grace, faith, and salvation through Christ, CEMC continues to impact the lives of its members and the community at large.
