Children's Aid Society offers various community service programs to New York City's children and families who are in need of assistance. Founded in 1853, the organization serves more than 150,000 children and their families each year, helping them overcome various odds. Its network of more than 100 programs and services provided at over 40 sites in and around New York City supply a full spectrum of support. The center provides transitional housing for homeless families and children, teen pregnancy prevention programs, tutoring programs for preteens at risk of dropping out of schools, and mental, eye care and dental clinics. Children's Aid Society is located in New York City.
