The Center for Law and Social Justice at Medgar Evers College is dedicated to promoting racial justice and empowering Black communities in New York City. Through legal advocacy, community education campaigns, research, and organizing, CLSJ works towards a civically educated and engaged Black electorate that can effectively build political power and secure the representation and resources needed for thriving communities.
With a focus on voting rights, advocacy, and redistricting, CLSJ aims to address systemic discrimination and disenfranchisement faced by Black New Yorkers. By providing effective legal support and building organizing capacity, CLSJ strives to create a more equitable and just society for people of African descent in New York City.
