Brighton Volunteer Ambulance, founded in 1983, provides advanced and basic life support emergency medical services to Brighton and Monroe County, N.Y. Its ambulances are staffed by emergency medical technicians and certified first responders. The organization's advanced life support technicians are categorized into critical care technician and paramedic, and critical transport paramedic. It offers blood pressure screenings, child car seat inspections, medical equipment loan, and special event stand-by service. Brighton Volunteer Ambulance also offers cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator training to individuals, groups and businesses in the state. It also works with other ambulance services and agencies, such as Henrietta Volunteer Ambulance, Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance, Penfield Volunteer Ambulance, Rural-Metro Medical Services, and Monroe Ambulance.
