As board certified adult and pediatric allergists, the physicians at Buffalo Amherst Allergy Associates specialize in problems related to allergy and clinical immunology. Such conditions include allergy & asthma, hay fever, bronchitis, sinusitis, allergic ear, eye and skin conditions, food and drug allergies, etc. In a sense, the allergist is a medical detective whose goal is to identify the causes of your symptoms and eliminate these if possible. Medications may be needed to treat your specific problem. When the offending allergic substance or allergen cannot be avoided, allergy injections or immunotherapy may be recommended. We prefer to work closely with your personal physician and they will receive a report on our findings. The majority of our patients are referred to our office by their personal physicians (family practice specialists, internists, pediatricians, gynecologists or other specialists such as otolaryngologists, dermatologists, and opthalmologists) for evaluation of a definite or suspected allergic problem. We do, however, accept referrals from our patients and self-referrals. Some insurance plans may need referrals. Dr. Michael J. Fanning Dr. Madeline A. Lillie Dr. Kathleen M. Donovan Christina M.
