The Highway Division is a part of the Department of Public Works, which is governed by Broome County in New York. The division s facility spreads across an area of more than 31,800 square feet and includes a maintenance shop, garage, storage area and office space. It is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of roads and culverts. In addition, the Highway Division manages over 100 bridges. The division inspects and evaluates planning, reconstruction and repair projects. It provides resurfacing and patching services for existing county roads. The Highway Division also offers snow and ice removal and control solutions. The division assists other local municipalities with specialized equipment.
