Boldt Castle a full-size Rhineland castle in Alexandria Bay in New York. It is a six-story, more than 120-room castle, with tunnels, a powerhouse, Italian gardens, a draw bridge, and a dove cote. The castle is open for self-guided tours from mid-May through mid-October. The 5-acre island is handicapped accessible, has complete restroom facilities, extensive docking for private boats, several picnic areas, a gift shop, and a food and beverage concession. Various structures in the castle include the Power House, Alster Tower, Hennery, Arch, and a stone Gazebo. Boldt castle also includes exhibits in the various structures, and a 15-minute video presentation, offering a look into the lifestyle of George and Louise Boldt, along with a history of the 1,000 Islands Region and the restoration efforts on Heart Island. It is available for wedding ceremonies, and offers electricity at the ceremony site, waiting room for the wedding party, arrangement of chairs, and portable public address system. The castle is located in Alexandria Bay, N.Y.
