Bethpage State Park is operated by the New York State Office of Parks and Recreation. The park has picnic facilities, playing fields, tennis courts, bridle paths, hiking and biking trails and cross-county skiing trails. The park is home to five world-class golf courses, including the Black Course, which was the site of the U.S. Open Championship in 2002 and 2009. The park also has a restaurant and catering facilities, a Golf Pro Shop and driving range on the grounds.
