More than 475 Baillie Lumber employees are involved in the production and distribution of American hardwoods in the United States and to more than 60 countries throughout the world. With five concentration yards, three sawmills and strategically placed warehouses in the United States and overseas, Baillie is one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of hardwood lumber. A variety of hardwood species from the eastern regions of the United States are available from the company, including cherry, hard and soft maple, red oak, white oak, poplar, beech and ash. Sales from wholesaling and concentration yards total more than 185 million board feet per year. The company was established in Hamburg, N.Y., in 1923. Baillie Lumber s headquarters was built in 1980.
