Archie Comic Publications began in 1941 with the saga of the longest-running teenage humor comic book. In 2000, Archie Andrew joined the ranks of Superman, Batman and Mickey Mouse, celebrating a 60th anniversary. With a circulation of 850,000 copies, Archie comics has a broad appeal. Children are drawn to the colorful art and stories and parents remember the wholesome characters they grew up with. The publication's other titles include Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica, special editions and numerous digest and double digest magazines. Its publications are available at supermarkets, mass markets, drug stores, convenience and bookstores. In addition to comic books, popular spin-off projects are in music, radio, television, movies, licensed merchandise and the company's website. The company is headquartered in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
