History
Appelrouth Tutoring Services was founded in 2001 by long-time Atlanta resident, Jed Appelrouth, Pace Academy valedictorian, University of Pennsylvania graduate and former McKinsey and Company analyst. Over the past eight years ATS has grown from a one-man operation to a company of 90 full- and part-time employees. Since 2004, ATS has worked with over 3000 students preparing for standardized college admissions exams. Our students have been accepted to numerous prestigious American colleges and universities including Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Dartmouth, Cornell, The University of Pennsylvania, Duke, Vanderbilt and Emory. ATS opened new offices in New York and Washington, D.C. in August 2009. And, wishing to extend its test-prep services beyond its local offices, ATS has also created a sophisticated, real-time online tutoring system with state-of-the-art technology. The online program continues to grow, and ATS welcomed its first international student based in Londo
Specialties
We are a group of highly talented, trained and motivated tutors dedicated to helping students get into their schools of choice. Our motto is 'Better Tutors. Better Results.' and we are proud of the fact that our tutors outshine those of other companies in the industry. Our tutors have an average SAT score well above 1500 (770 math, 760 verbal), and among our ranks are five Valedictorians, one Salutatorian, and five National Merit Scholars. We recognize, though, that learning and teaching are two different skills; therefore, we require that all of our tutors have teaching experience prior to working for Appelrouth Tutoring Services. We care about our students' success and constantly strive to help them set their goals and realize their potential. Whether they are seeking to master the material, overcome the anxiety of test taking, or gain confidence in their abilities, our students will find that we are committed to doing whatever it takes to help them achieve their optimal results.
