The Andrea Carrano name has been synonymous with quality and style for over forty years.Since its inception, Andrea Carrano has continued to create contemporary designs in footwear while pioneering classic styles such as the ballerina flat, thus remaining one of the most prestigious names in Italian fashion.Andrea Carrano began creating his shoe line during World War II when shoes were in high demand and women began to trade in their leather bags for a pair of Carrano's shoes. The success of his first store allowed him to expand the company, enabling him to form a chain of boutiques all around Italy in 1962. In addition, they opened boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills and Bal Harbour, making Andrea Carrano one of the first Italian brands to expand in the American market. In the mid 80s, Andrea Carrano began to produce and distribute shoe collections for various designers including Christian Dior,Krizia, Alberta Ferretti, Norma Kamali, and Sonia Bogner.
