You can find the Amagansett Free Library among the shops and restaurants on Main Street in the center of Amagansett. Two entrances lead to the books: one on Main Street and one on the side of the building near the public parking lot. The library was founded in 1916, and an addition has since been added to the original exposed beams and fireplace. The library is a two-time recipient of Library Journal's five-star rating, placing it in the top 256 public libraries out of 7,115 nationwide.
