Constructed in 1962, Aldersgate United Methodist Church has a small chapel and congregation, but was purposefully built with many classrooms for bible study and other community groups. The space is currently home to a number of groups including: Alcoholics Anonymous, ALANON, SPARC, Westchester Glass Club, Elaine Jacobson's exercise classes, Westchester County Genealogical Society and the Hudson River School of Music. Journey Into New Life, held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 7pm, is a ministry of healing and recovery.
Worship services are held every Sunday by Minister Hyo Jung (Dawn) Yoon. Pastor Dawn graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary with a M.Div (Master of Divinity) and was commissioned by the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
There is a choir that sings every Sunday and the services are family-oriented. Sunday school is offered for children of all ages. Pastor Dawn describes the congregation as "like a family."
