The Town of Oyster Bay Housing Authority, established in 1963, poerated 910 low-income housing units for senior citizens and families in 11 locations throughout the town of Oyster Bay. It also supervises 50 Section 8 housing vouchers for qualified renters. It's main office is on Central Park Road in Plainview. Housing priority is given to Oyster Bay town residents. Depending on several factors, the wait to get into one of the housing units can be up to a year, according to the authority's web site.
