Clara Fazzino, formerly Clara Pappalardo, was born in Naples, Italy. She came to America with her family in 1962. Angelo Fazzino came to America in 1966 from his birthplace of Campobasso, Italy. While working at his uncle's store, Fazzino's, Angelo met Clara. He swept her off her feet! In 1968, they were married and lived in the neighborhood. Together, they had three children: Joseph, Anthony, and Filomena. In 1975, they decided to start their business with a store carrying fresh fruits and vegetables. As time passed, Clara started to prepare her homemade dishes to expand the business. Eventually, they added more Italian specialties along with a full line of Boar's Head Products, freshly cut meats and groceries. Unfortunately, they suffered a tremendous loss in 1996 with the tragic loss of their son Joseph. He was truly loved by everyone. While still trying to mend their broken hearts, in 1999, once again the family was struck with the passing of Angelo Fazzino. Family, friends and customers alike will always remember being greeted with his pleasant smile. Today, Anthony carries on the Family tradition, together with the assistance of Clara and Filomena. We invite you to come by our newly expanded and renovated store. Our family and friendly staff look forward to gladly assisting you.
