The American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD) is a non-profit organization founded in 1984 with the aim of improving patient care in opioid treatment programs across the United States. Representing over 1,300 Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs) and having twenty-eight state chapters, AATOD is dedicated to promoting the growth and development of comprehensive opioid treatment services. Additionally, AATOD is a founding partner of the World Federation for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence, which represents 600 treatment programs in Europe.
