History
Josh Paul, the founder of 8 Limbs Youth Yoga, began studying yoga as a way to cure the aches and pains of nearly two decades of training and teaching aikido, a traditional Japanese martial art. He completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program at Brooklyn Yoga Project in 2017, and is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor, as well as a certified aikido instructor.
Specialties
8 Limbs Youth Yoga provides children ages 7-12 an opportunity to explore the path of yoga, and learn about their mind, body, and community. The theme of every class is based on one of yoga's 8 limbs, such as yoga postures (asana), breathing (pranayama), concentration (dharana), and meditation (dhyana), and other aspects of this ancient path. Of course, there are also yoga games! Beginners are always welcome.
