15 Orient is pleased to present an off-site summer exhibition at Palazzo Carrozzini in Lecce, Italy, showcasing the extensive works of the late Serbian-Macedonian painter Ljiljana Bla evska. The exhibition features a selection of paintings, works on panel, and works on paper, offering a comprehensive display of Bla evska's artistic journey. Born in Skopje, Macedonia, Bla evska's unique painterly world was shaped by her postgraduate studies in Belgrade and her participation in numerous residency programs throughout Europe.
With over 20 solo exhibitions and numerous group presentations in Yugoslavia, Bla evska was a celebrated member of ULUS, the Serbian Fine Arts Guild, and received numerous awards for her artistic achievements. Her work gained international recognition with solo exhibitions at 15 Orient in New York and a solo-booth at Frieze Masters in London. This exhibition at Palazzo Carrozzini marks the most extensive presentation of Bla evska's work to date, offering a rare opportunity to experience her captivating art outside the countries of former Yugoslavia.
