History
Ms. Hemphill graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1980 and from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois in 1983. During her summers in law school, she worked for legal aid and the American Civil Liberties Union in Chicago. After graduating from law school, Ms. Hemphill served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable John H. Buttler at the Oregon Court of Appeals. In 1985, she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico and worked for a variety of local firms before launching her own law firm in 1992. Linda G. Hemphill is licensed to practice law in New Mexico with experience at all levels of State Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association.
