Sierra Soil & Water Conservation District (SSWCD) is a governmental subdivision of the state of New Mexico, dedicated to controlling and preventing soil erosion, preventing floodwater and sediment damage, promoting water conservation and development, and encouraging the use of impounded water for recreation. With a focus on meeting the needs of local land users, SSWCD utilizes available technical, financial, and educational resources to serve the citizens of Sierra County, Socorro County, and a small area of Catron County in central New Mexico.
