Turquoise Lodge Hospital is a more than 30-bed facility that provides and monitored inpatient chemical dependency detoxification and rehabilitation treatment solutions. The hospital is one of the facilities managed by the New Mexico Department of Health, which is governed by the State of New Mexico. The department works to prevent diseases and disabilities, as well as improves health service systems. The New Mexico Department of Health manages a developmental disabilities supports division that provides community-based vocational and therapy services, as well as works with children at-risk. The department also operates a health improvement division that ensures individuals receive care in long-term care and health facilities, including hospitals and nursing homes.
