Dr. Michael Frederich currently practices as a family physician with Rio Grande Medical Group, an assistant professor at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, medical director with MountainView Palliative Care, chairman of the Medical Ethics Committee, medical director of Hospice of the Southwest and associate medical director at Ambercare Hospice. He has 20 years of experience as a full-time hospice medical director for seven different hospice programs prior to coming to Las Cruces. He is one of the founding members of the Academy of Hospice Physicians and served on the board of directors of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He has done numerous presentations at multiple national hospice and palliative medicine conferences and has several publications in the literature of the field. Dr. Frederich is also a teacher for Education for Physicians in End of Life Care.
