Founded in 1966, Indian Hills Elementary School provides education to students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science, physical education and social studies. In addition to a computer lab, the school has a library and media center. Indian Hills Elementary School provides special education and Title I programs. It offers meal and health screening services. The school has a parent-teacher organization that sponsors various recreational and fundraising activities. The school provides special services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Indian Hills Elementary School publishes monthly newsletters and is governed by Gallup-McKinley County Schools.
