Store owner, Rory, has always had a passion for board games. He decided, after seeing successful board game cafes in Canada, to start Empire Board Game Library with the goal of building a board gaming community in the Albuquerque area.

We are a board game cafe, offering several games available for purchase and over 1000 games in our library to be played in the store. Our staff is ready and eager to assist you in finding the best game for your group. Empire was created out of our desire to: Give parents and children a place to come together and communicate and strategize together - face to face.
