Welcome to Car Crafters! We are a locally owned and operated shop that has been serving Albuquerque, New Mexico for over 33 years! When he was younger, owner and founder Jim Guthrie developed a passion for racing, which led to a knack for fixing cars. He started repairing cars for friends and family out of his parents garage. When their cul-de-sac reached it's capacity, Guthrie's parents told him to stop and focus on becoming a dentist or get his own body shop. In January 1982, Guthrie chose the latter and started Car Crafters in a one car garage. Today, Car Crafters has 4 locations all around Albuquerque. Car Crafters has been named one of the Top 10 Shops in the nation 4 years in a row by ABRN Magazine (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014). We were also named
