The Institute of American Indian and Alaska Native Culture and Arts Development (IAIA) is a Congressionally chartered college located in Santa Fe, NM. Established in 1986, IAIA offers a range of academic programs and certificates in fields such as Native American Art History, Cinematic Arts Technology, Creative Writing, and Museum Studies. The college is under the direction and control of a board of trustees, appointed by the President of the United States, who have ultimate authority in making and approving policies and appointing the President of IAIA.
