The Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps is made up of a group of residents who volunteer their time to help fellow citizens in need. All members are certified emergency medical technicians who must complete 120 hours of training initially, then 48 hours every three years to maintain their certification. Training is free for volunteers. The corps maintains two ambulances.
Prospective members must be at least 18 years of age, fit, have a valid driver's license and live or work in Wyckoff. In addition to EMT training, members must be certified in CPR. Full members must be available for one 12-hour shift a week and a 36-hour weekend shift every two months.
The corps is the second oldest volunteer ambulance squad in New Jersey.
